In March 2000, Reno County commissioners passed a resolution committing up to $350,000.
State / Federal (Section 5311)
The budget included $270,000 federal and $108,000 State of Kansas Funding for operating, plus capital budgets determined on an annual basis.
Federal (Section 5309 - Earmark)
In fiscal year 2001, Reno County received an appropriation to construct a bus barn / maintenance facility. This project was completed in June of 2008.
Reno County has also benefited from the state's utilization of Section 5309 Earmarks to fund the purchase of buses.
