Reno County Commissioners approved a resolution in October 2022 to bring the proposal to voters to remove the required 30% food sales requirement for liquor by the drink. Pippin Williamson, owner of Sandhills Brewing, came before the commission again asking for the vote after he had an issue with the brewery's liquor license, finding out he had not sold enough food just weeks before the deadline.
The Highlands City Question:

The City of The Highlands passed Resolution 2023-0078 that said that the City Council wanted to put the question to the citizens of the City of The Highlands whether they wanted to allow AirBnB, Vrbo, or like arrangements within the City. The Council declined to call for a special election but rather placed the question on the ballot for an advisory vote in the November General Election.

Should the current dog breed specific ban within the City of Pretty Prairie, Kansas be removed from the Code of the City of Pretty Prairie, Kansas.

Here is our ban section of the Ordinance on registering dogs. The election question would determine whether we keep this section or remove it from our Ordinances.
(f) Beginning May 4, 2020, no Pit Bull, American Pit Bull, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bully, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog or any combination of the previously mentioned breeds or mix containing any such breed shall be granted a new registration with the City of Pretty Prairie. Already established registrations shall be renewed for the life of the dog or residency of the owner or harborer so long as they comply with the provisions of Section 2-201(b) of this code pertaining to pit bull dogs.
(g) Any dog described in subsection (f) found within the city limits of Pretty Prairie without proper registration shall be subject to Impoundment under the provisions of 2-207 of this code and shall automatically be deemed a vicious dog under Section 2-115 of this code.
