Woodie Seat Freeway to close Sept. 18 until Dec. 22, 2023

woodie seat detourStarting Monday, September 18, 2023, Woodie Seat Freeway from the Arkansas Bridge to Avenue A will be closed to all traffic through December 22, 2023, and will reclose again in the spring of 2024 for approximately 30-60 days. 
Work will begin on Monday on the first phase of the Woodie Seat project that includes the Reno County owned bridge over the Arkansas River and the City of Hutchinson's infrastructure located north of the bridge and south of Avenue C.  
Traffic will be detoured to the Arkansas River Bridge located on the south end of Main Street in Hutchinson near the entrance to Carey Park.
