Reno County, Kansas
From: Nick Baldetti, DBA, MBA, MS
Reno County Health Department Director and Reno County Health Officer
March 16, 2020
10:20 a.m.
As of 10:20 a.m., Reno County does not have any positive cases of COVID-19.
It is the goal of the Reno County Health Department to inform the public of any positive COVID-19 cases in coordination with State and Local Health Officials in addition to offering the most accurate information in a timely manner.
• It is now the updated recommendation of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and Reno County Health Department to limit public events to under 50-persons regardless of the type of event.
o Should events under the 50-person threshold take place, social distancing should be exercised as well as prudence in time spent within enclosed areas with others.
Social distancing constitutes limiting distance between persons to six feet when applicable and spending no more than 10 minutes within said six-foot radius.
• Personal judgement should be exercised in limiting all non-essential social gatherings.
We highly encourage Reno County residents to be dependent on health authorities to provide the most accurate information on COVID-19.
Please practice good hygiene with frequent hand washing, proper respiratory etiquette such as coughing and sneezing into your elbow bend, limit handshakes and physical contact. Stay home if you are feeling ill and call your primary care physician to discuss your symptoms.
