Child care providers play an important role in nurturing the growth and development of our youngest and most vulnerable residents. TAKE THE FIRST STEP! Sign up for orientation to find out how to become a licensed provider.

Orientation class is a great opportunity to meet the surveyor, learn the KDHE regulations, and ask questions.

When: Orientation class is the first Thursday of each month, from 2-5 p.m., at the Reno County Health Department.

Cost: $20 (Pay here)

^{K.A.R. 28-4-114a(a) Orientation. (2) Each applicant, each applicant with a temporary permit, and each licensee shall provide orientation to each individual who will be caring for children about the policies and practices of the facility, including duties and responsibilities for the care and supervision of children. Each provider shall complete the orientation before the provider is given sole responsibility for the care and supervision of children. Orientation class is instructed by the surveyor and allows for Q&A for prospected providers.}
