Reno County Juvenile Detention Center

The Detention Center was created to meet the needs of the youth whose needs cannot be met in a non-secure facility. The Detention Center is a temporary, secure facility which currently has the capabilities of dealing with up to 21 youth, males and females, ranging in age of 10 to their 18th birthday.

The average length of stay is approximately 10 days. Almost all of the Youth placed in the Detention Center are Juvenile Offenders or alleged to be Juvenile Offenders.

Reno County Juvenile Detention Center

The Reno County Juvenile Detention Center is a regional facility covering 19 counties in the central and south central region of the State of Kansas. Those counties include:

Rice

Sumner

Other counties in Kansas are also able to admit juveniles into the facility if they are contracted with Reno County for juvenile detention services. Other counties currently contacted include:
