Reno County, Kansas Jail Officer RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide for the custody and care of all persons placed in the custody of the Sheriff.QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be 18 or older at hire with a High school diploma or GED, valid Kansas Drivers License, U.S. Citizen. Must be free of any felony or domestic violence convictions. Must successfully complete an intensive jail officer training program. Jail Officers may receive consideration for available Sheriff Patrol Officer positions, but must obtain age 21 for entry into KLETC. In addition to the entrance exam, eligible applicants will be required to successfully pass an oral interview, background check, psychological exam, drug screen, and physical capacity profile. Successful candidates will be placed on an eligibility list for one year. STATUS AND SALARY: FULL-TIME \ 40 HOURS\12 hour rotating shifts GRADE 26 (H) -$14.30-$20.20/HOUR |
