Reno County Community Corrections
Community Corrections was designed to be a cost-effective alternative to incarcerating felony offenders. The average cost to incarcerate an adult offender in a facility is approximately $19,000 per year, while the cost per offender on Community Corrections is approximately $2,900 per year.
In addition to intensive supervision, the agency attempts to utilize all available resources in the community to achieve the goals of public safety and offender habilitation.
The agency is also responsible for delivering two of the three state-mandated core Juvenile Justice Programs (Juvenile Intensive Supervision Probation and Community Case Management).
